Family Web
A new Fun Box experience: your whole family — people and pets — drawn as one living web, connected by the photos you share.
- Watch it grow. Drag the year slider (or press play) and see the web build itself, year by year.
- Click a person to see their world; click a thread between two people to see every photo they share.
- Pets included. The dog earns a spot on the web like everyone else.
- Tune the view with spread, name, and face controls — or thin the web down to the strongest bonds.
Your archives, found and legible
The welcome screen now finds archives already studied on this Mac — even after a reinstall — shows what each one holds, and gives you a safe way to clean up the ones you don't want.
- Open an existing archive, anytime. Found archives offer to open with no re-study needed, and a new File > Open Archive… (⌘O) opens another archive from anywhere.
- See what's inside. Each found archive shows what its index holds: how many photos and videos, the years they span, how much disk the index takes, and when it was last studied.
- Unfinished studies are flagged. If a study never completed, the row says so — useful both for "why does this look emptier than I remember" and for deciding it's safe to let go.
- Clean up safely. A Delete button right on the row removes an old index you don't want — after a confirmation that restates exactly what's in it and where it lives. Only the app's own index and thumbnails are ever deleted; your photos and videos are never touched.
Also in this release
- Browsing before you buy is nicer: the home screen now shows a multi-year photo rail with endless scrolling, and locked items show clean placeholders instead of blur walls.
- No more beeps. Fixed the app beeping on arrow-key and Escape presses across many screens.
Requires an Apple silicon Mac (M1 or later), macOS 14 or later.
