The app now notices when your drive changes
Copy on a new phone dump, add a backup folder, or rename one — All Our Years now checks for it, instead of leaving new photos unseen forever.
- New photos join in on their own. A quiet check runs when the app opens, once a day, and right after you plug the drive back in — new photos get studied without a word.
- Renamed folders keep everything they've learned. Turned "New Folder (3)" into "Hawaii 2024"? Faces, captions, and event grouping carry right over — nothing gets re-studied.
- Missing photos are remembered, not lost. If something's no longer on the drive, All Our Years keeps its thumbnail and everything it learned about it from memory and quietly steps it out of the grid — plug the drive back in (or find the file again) and it reappears exactly as it was.
- A place to check in. Settings > Archive now shows when the drive was last checked, and a new Missing Photos review window lists anything that's gone, with a careful, confirmed way to forget it for good if that's what you want.
