Activation happens once per Mac. After that the app does not need the internet to stay unlocked.
Buy through Polar and a license key arrives by email. Paste it into Settings and the blur lifts on that Mac, which then stays unlocked offline.
To move to a new Mac, deactivate the old one in Settings first.
