1. License grant
Subject to this agreement, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use All Our Years:
- The free version may be installed on any number of your own Macs.
- A $59 purchase unlocks full access on up to 3 Macs you own or use.
- A $79 Family Pack purchase unlocks full access on up to 5 Macs you own or use.
Each purchase is licensed to one person or household, not resold or sublicensed to others. You can move a license to a different Mac at any time by deactivating a seat in Settings first.
2. The free version
The free version runs the full study on your entire photo archive, but limits browsing to the first 100 photos of every year and the 10 earliest videos; the rest stays blurred until you unlock. This isn't a time-limited trial: the free version works this way indefinitely, with no expiration.
3. What you may not do
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
- Redistribute, resell, rent, or sublicense the app or a license key to anyone else.
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
- Use the app to violate any applicable law.
4. Your files are your responsibility
All Our Years reads the photos and videos on your own drive, strictly read-only, and is designed never to modify, move, rename, or delete anything on it. That said, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of your archive. We strongly recommend a real backup plan (see the 3-2-1 guidance on our site) independent of All Our Years entirely.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
All Our Years is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of or related to this agreement or your use of All Our Years will not exceed the amount you actually paid for your license. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, even if advised of the possibility.
7. Termination
This license terminates automatically if you materially breach this agreement (for example, redistributing a license key). We may also terminate a specific license in cases of confirmed fraud or chargeback abuse. Termination doesn't affect refund rights already earned under Section 8.
8. Refunds
Purchases made through Polar are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Request one directly through Polar or by emailing us.
9. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update this agreement from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and material changes will be noted in the release notes for the relevant app version.
